Venice Trip

Departed Switzerland with happy hearts. Finally, we reached the magical land of Venice =D
Oh boy, once we stepped out of the train station, what greeted us was the grand canal and the magnificent water city of Venice.
From below pics, you will have guessed that we reached Venice around 7-8pm.. Yup.. even 8pm in Europe looks like our 6pm-7pm in Singapore during Spring season =D

The city that greeted us when we stepped out of train station

Isn't the view fantastic? Its so nice to reminisce even now =D
I must really blog this portion. This is our B&B which the host's friend did a quick tour of the house before leaving us alone in the whole apartment. By then it was around 9pm and our stomachs were rumbling. The cup noodles that were lugged from Singapore to Switzerland had no single chance to deplete. Hunger pang & eagerness to unload our cup noodles force us to fumble around on how to ignite the stove fire. Haha, its not that we are leechers at home and cant even operate a simple fire stove. Erm.. the stoves at our own homes were simply too conventional =P Hungry man makes a angry man is a phrase never to be doubted as Peng was damn frustrated to insist eating hot pipping spicy noodle soup. The sit-back-relax Me felt that eating biscuits was fine =P. But still, we went around exploring the house & pressing and gosh the gas smell & sound FINALLY appeared.. Yeap, we GOT OUR WISH CAME TRUE!!!
See the radiant smile of Peng.. Damn happy .. we can eat our mee!! =D

The correct way to ignite is to press these 2 simultaneously =D

Duh-Dah.. Our dinner for the night,., Damn satisfying =D Two Tom Yum Mee & One Laksa Mee with our very own 3-in1 instant white coffee =D Slurp !!

A Quick Virtual tour of our apartment , a typical Venetian house. Host is a guy but he happened to out-station hence we had the house all to ourselves =D Blessed =D

The Kitchen/Dining with a small couch at the left but not captured in picture. Small cosy area =D

The main door lock of the Venetian House.. Cool!!

The door way from the main door with the kitchen on the left

From the door way, this is our bedroom with our bed on top and another cosy area where the CDs & radio is located. Love such simple furniture arrangement.

Host's personal wardrobe facing the bed. I like the mirror image =P

Okay, pictures above were taken on our first night in our Venetian apartment =D
On our next morning, was another anticipating & exciting moment. That's because we had planned to meet our long -time- no -see friend who had resided Italy some years back =D
Me loving the lovely day with sunny sun =D

Taking Water Bus to meet our dearest friend=D

Waiting for dear friend's train to reach . Her train got delayed=P

Duh Dah.. Its JZ.. missed her so much =D Finally get to meet her... one of the best part of the awesome trip=D

Thanks JZ for the ice cream treat. Its great to have a friend who knows Italian and ordering food is a breeze =D

The trio having our Gelato=D

Boy boy!! Feasting on eyes is more than enough too =D

The Variety of Pasta =D Isn't that colourful?

Our Lunch => Mediterranean Seafood pasta

Think its Chicken pizza with tomato pesto sauce=> One of the few Yummy pizza.. I'm not exactly a fan of pizza but this is definitely GOOD =D

Touring San Marco- One of the Must Visit Tourist Spot =D

Posing around Doge Palace

Gosh damn scorching hot but still..Prefers hot sunny day than wet chilly weather  =P

Inside Doge Palace ( If I'm not wrong =P).. magnificent.. Thanks JZ for the admission ticket

Touring around after JZ left

Happy day in Venice =D We really love this city alot=D

Finally, its dinner time. The Greedy and hungry us.. chanced upon Hard Rock Cafe ..  with our craving for fish & chips/ chicken chop raving.. We headed right into the restaurant. Even had our shopping done at the Mechanise store =D

My cocktail-> cant remember what this calls but alcohol level is quite high. Recommended by one of the waitress. Love the alcohol punch & the sugar around the glass.. Perfect combination =D

Tested & Proven.. Yumss

Peng with her Strawberry Vanilla Cocktail... hmm.. taste more like milk shake but fits Peng's requirement. .. See the look in her eyes and you will know =D

Our platter for the night.. Its was damn big for us.. but super satisfying

Our add-on : Creame Brulee .. but  I find it too creamy & rich..

Ending post with my super red tomato drunken face. Hey look.. the water is flooding in  =P Very soon, the water did flood in and our shoes were all wet by the time we rushed back to apartment =P What's unknown here is.. the water that flood in really stinks... and we both cant understand why will people still want to dip their feet into the water and played =P The atmosphere is still very gratifying to have the sea water flooding in.. How often do we experience such rare occurrence? Good Night People.. TGIF tomorrow =D Geez =D

Peng's Bdae Celebration @ Crystal Jade Steamboat

One of our favourite gathering times is our birthday celebrations for one another. Best time to do some catch up and a good excuse for pigging out at the same time=P

Since the birthday girl craves for steamboat so with a friend's recommendation, we decide to head down for a meal. Do agree with some comments found from a few blog that the Ma La flavoured soup base was not spicy at all. It suits my palate as I don't really like my food to be too spicy. We have a group of 5 pax hence we can choose one of the free dishes like Tilapia Fish. What's best is they offer a 3 for 2 promotion =P Overall verdict, food is average except that the ingredients look fresher and cleaner and we get to enjoy some air con while enjoying our steamboat =P The best part is the company here that matters most =D
Thanks Ziv for the nice picture collage =D
Steamboat feast with the group with Peng, Civia, Steven, Me & Ziv (Clockwise) =D

Some Funny shots towards the end of dinner.. Reliving Stress=P

Ending post with cranky poses
