Finally, getting back to blog on my remaining Europe trip. Right after our
Venice trip, Rome is our immediate next stop. Here, we stayed 3 nights in the beautiful Rome, the capital of Italy. Short introduction to Rome: its history went as long as two thousand and a half thousand years ago which is why the historical rich city is every worth for the visit.
Arriving from Venice, it was a very wet and rainy morning. All our luggages, bags and our clothes were wet. Even trains to Rome are harder to get and there we were regretful not to reserve our tickets earlier. However, our very friendly Roman hostess is such a nice lady whom will actually emailed us to check what time we were reaching so that she can prepare welcome snacks for us.
Such a warm gesture that was in the chilly weather =D
So finally, we got a train at around 1pm and reaching her place at around 4 plus.
Manoeuvring around to her place was not difficult as her directions to her house were clear & precise. =D
Here's the picture of the welcome snacks she prepared for us.
Isn't that sweet and thoughtful of her?

Foccaica with yummy ham & cheese with tomato & strawberry.
Thank goodness that Peng has a good liking to cheese so we" barter trade" with her eating the cheese while me finishing up the tomatoes=D See the beer there? Yeah, host asks whether I will like to have a can =P You know.. I cant resist beer especially on a cold day.. =P |

| The florist shop just below the host's house which is also an icon to recognise "home" is nearby =P |
 |
| Roaming around the vicinity. The primary reason why we chose our host location is because its superb near to the Vatican City. Having to hear from Jess that it can be a long queue for the admission. We felt that we could possibly slept in till later and just joined in the vatican queue.. Okay.. for the lazy ones =P |
 |
| So Happy.. Vatican City for the next day's itinerary =P By evening time, Vatican was closed. |
 |
| Snapshot of its admission at dusk.. so nice!!! |
 |
| Snapshot 2!! |
 |
| Yeah,, we bought our 1st Moscato at a mini mart there.. |
 |
| Remember the welcome snack that we had? By dinner time, we were still full. Hence, enjoyed a slice of raspberry cheese cake with our coffee at Mac Cafe. And Oh yah... never to order Flat White at Mac there. Its plain steamed milk in Italy.. which I do not know why.. haha totally amused =P |

Ending post with a photo of a Gelato shop which the host recommended.
